SFO Ground Transportation Unit
The new Ground Transportation Unit (GTU) was pivotal in enabling the monumental expansion and operation of Terminal 1 at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The GTU employs up to 30 commercial vehicle drivers operating at SFO and conducts vehicle safety inspections, while the new radio shop maintains and repairs various communication equipment.
The relocation & rebuild of the Ground Transportation Unit (GTU) was part of a series of projects that were pivotal in enabling the monumental expansion of Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The GTU employs staff who perform vehicle safety inspections and annually register commercial vehicles operating at SFO, while a new radio shop provides maintenance and repairs to communications equipment for a broad range of SFO departments.
