Daryl Toy

Born and raised in Oakland, California, Daryl Toy is dedicated to centering lived experience, social equity, and place-specific design in all of her work. She was drawn to PTA’s commitment to community-serving architecture and values-driven internal culture. Her tenure at the firm has been defined by her interest in housing and community-oriented projects like Star View Court. Additionally, Daryl’s attention to detail has led her to areas of work that benefit from her systems-based thinking; she presently co-leads the firm’s Revit standards, refining and optimizing the studio’s workflows and providing solutions that help everyone work together more effectively. Daryl graduated with B.Arch. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2016. She has served on the Board of Directors at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center since 2022 and has a deep dedication to the Bay Area.
