Lily Oyler joined PTA in 2022, finding deep alignment between the firm’s focus on socially impactful architecture and her own interest in the relationship between material culture and community well-being. In her time at PTA, she has contributed her varied expertise, helping lead office inquiries into material health research, equitable community and post-occupancy engagement, and affordable housing policy. As a graduate student at UC Berkeley, Lily served as a union program chair, an experience that honed her communication and collaboration skills and sharpened her curiosity; she has brought these skills to a number of affordable housing projects. She holds a B.A. in History of Art and Architecture and English and American Literatures from Middlebury College and an M.Arch from UC Berkeley. She is a licensed architect in the state of California.
