Star View Court
Located on Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay, Star View Court was developed through a collaboration between Mercy Housing and Catholic Charities. Its name makes reference to the Star Barracks that once occupied the site.
The LEED Gold-certified building provides 138 homes, including 94 replacement units for families currently living on the island, as well as resident services and amenities that include an after-school teen room, a multi-purpose community room, and a variety of spaces to socialize.
Two wings address the scale of each frontage: along the busy Seven Seas Avenue, the building reaches seven stories, while on the pedestrian and bike–only Shared Public Way it steps down to four stories with ground-level stoops. Between the two, a generously glazed community room faces toward a future park and opens onto a shared courtyard, forming the heart of this vibrant new community.
