Filmcore
Filmcore—a Los Angeles-based editing and distribution company that operates at the intersection of digital technology, film, and television—needed an economical office primed for creative collaboration and efficient communication between editors and staff, ahead of their expansion to San Francisco.
This office space was also to play host to ad agency clients, meaning the compact space needed the warmth of a private residence and the original charm of the existing industrial loft
A continuous wall of frosted glass doors and fixed panels line the perimeter and lead to private meeting and editing rooms. The glass filters natural light into the “living loft,” the office’s open core designed to encourage casual conversation and collaboration between staff and visiting clients. Custom built-ins, residential furniture, and incandescent lighting bring an attention to detail and craftsmanship on par with a private home.
The program includes collaborative and heads-down workspaces, meeting rooms, teaching labs, and multi-functional lounge areas.
