Garfield Pool and Recreation Center

Garfield Square Pool has long been one of the city’s most popular sites for recreation, anchoring a park in the Mission District that provides a field for soccer, a playground, a picnic area, and landscaping.

This renovation project, spearheaded by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, comprises improvements to the pool building, a multi-use addition, and associated site improvements. Bright, geometric volumes create a welcoming new face for the facility, while enhanced public services demonstrate a commitment to the community and to underrepresented neighborhoods like the Mission.
