Turner Headquarters
After ten years of working across four stories, Turner Construction asked PTA to design a single-level office. Turner hoped for an efficiently organized, daylit space that would improve internal communication as well as indoor environmental quality, creating a better work environment and fostering higher job satisfaction among its employees.
The efficient, open floor plan of 11,400 square feet responded to this brief. Perimeter offices, defined by floor to ceiling glass, maximize natural light and afford views of the surrounding Bay Area. A simple layout improves circulation, making communication easier and daily routines more relaxing. And abundant day lighting, low-VOC materials, and certified sustainable custom plywood workstations not only make for a comfortable physical environment but also contribute to the office’s LEED Silver certification. Taken together, these elements combine to create a healthful, warm, and environmentally conscientious workspace.
