Senior Project Architect

A licensed architect in the state of California, Chenglong Tsai specializes in developing construction details for all project types and sizes. Chenglong’s professional experience is wide-ranging, with recent stints at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and Shah Kawasaki Architects. Before BCJ, Chenglong had worked at PTA for five years; he was drawn back to the firm in 2022, inspired by its focus on affordable, community-centered architecture and collaborative working culture. He’s currently working as a project architect on an affordable family housing project in San Francisco whose scale and complexity have presented a welcome challenge. Tsai holds a B.Arch. from the University of Minnesota and an M.Arch from UC Berkeley.
