Treasure Island Parcel IC4.3
Family Housing

Sited along the Eastside Gardens public park on Treasure Island, Parcel IC4.3 will provide 150 permanently affordable housing units for low-income families.

These units will comprise a mix of studios and one-to-four–bedroom homes, more than half of which will be reserved for families currently living on the island in order to mitigate displacement and protect community integrity.

Branching from a volume that runs parallel to the park and linked by interior and exterior walkways, the building’s three parallel wings lend opportunities for chance connections. On the side that faces Eastside Gardens, a serrated elevation inspired by nautical sails and punctuated by glass apertures brings light to the interior and provides views onto the park, while stoops that lead into the ground-floor homes encourage casual interaction. Two internal courtyards between the wings add intimately scaled green space. Supportive programming—bike parking, a child development center, a teen room, a community room, and a resident services suite—ensure that residents can lead full, fruitful lives for years to come.
