Sacramento Court
Set around an entry courtyard and built over an existing 40-car garage, seismically upgraded by PTA, four new townhouses make for a simple yet impactful addition to the neighborhood.
An exterior stair leads from the street to a central courtyard, eventually providing access to each of the four units. Two bays of windows framed in dark wood framed by golden brick comprise the facade in a contemporary yet warm gesture.
The courtyard’s concrete paving continues into the entry of each residence, reinforcing the sense of continuity between exterior and interior. And inside each unit, this indoor-outdoor connection is embodied by the reappearance of the dark wood window frames, here acting as translucent dividers between kitchens, dining rooms, and halls.
